The summary
Short version
The new Gallery One site is live, fast, and built like a gallery floor — quiet, monochrome, and finally letting the artwork carry the color. On desktop it scores 99/100 for speed and renders in under a second. On mobile it scores 88–90/100 with a load time of about 3 seconds, layout shift effectively zero, and every page now carries a real title, description, Open Graph image, and structured data.
The biggest lift is how the site introduces itself. Where the old homepage title was just 'galleryone' (10 characters), the new homepage opens with 'Gallery One — Contemporary Indian Art, Gurgaon', a 144-character description, an Open Graph image, and LocalBusiness + ItemList structured data. WhatsApp previews work, Google results read cleanly, and AI assistants can finally extract who the gallery is and where it lives.
The next round is about depth, not fixes. The visual foundation and the technical foundation are both in place — the open question is whether to add content depth (artist deep-dives, exhibition archives, press) or to tighten visual details (type treatment, hero copy, image tiling) before either.
What's already working
- Homepage desktop performance is 99/100, mobile is 90/100 — both jumped from 45/100 desktop and 49/100 mobile on the old site.
- Layout shift on every page is now 0.002–0.018, down from 0.845–0.899 — the homepage no longer jumps around as it loads.
- SEO score is a clean 100/100 on every audited page, up from 69/100 on the source.
- Every page carries proper title, description, Open Graph image, and canonical — the old site had none of these on the homepage.
- Structured data is live: LocalBusiness + ItemList on the homepage, LocalBusiness + BreadcrumbList + Person on the About page, LocalBusiness + BreadcrumbList on Services. The old site had zero structured data.
- Image alt coverage on the homepage is 7/7, up from 14/17 on the source.
- llms.txt and llms-full.txt are both published — the AI-era equivalent of robots.txt, which the old site did not have.
- The page weight on interior pages dropped from over 2 MB to about 134 KB — about 15× lighter.
What to improve
Speed & weight
1 issue- Mobile LCP is 2.9–3.0 seconds, which is solid for a hero-image page but still above Google's 'good' bar of 2.5 seconds. A smaller hero image plus a preload hint should pull it under.
AI search readiness
1 issue- The Google Business Profile is referenced via sameAs in the JSON-LD but not yet shown as a visible 'View on Google' link in the footer — adding it surfaces the gallery's 20+ years of Google reviews to first-time visitors.
Trust signals
1 issue- Social profile links are still placeholder — once Neeraj's Instagram and Facebook handles go live they should be wired into the footer so buyers can verify the gallery exists outside the site.

The homepage opens with a single full-bleed photograph of the actual Gurgaon gallery floor, with 'Gallery One' set in Cormorant Garamond display over the image and a single 'Browse the Gallery' CTA. No four-column thumbnail grid, no orange CTA, no e-commerce styling. Body type is Inter at a comfortable reading size; headings are Cormorant. The container holds at 1280px with generous section spacing.
Color palette
What we'd change
- Replaced the four-column WordPress thumbnail grid with a single full-bleed gallery interior hero.
- Swapped Montserrat / PT Serif for Cormorant Garamond / Inter — display serif over a clean modern body face.
- Dropped the orange #e94e1b discount-store CTA in favor of a charcoal #1a1a1a button with cream and bronze accents.
- Tightened the page count from 218 to 7 — Home, Artists, Gallery, Exhibitions, Services, About, Contact — each with a single clear purpose.
